The PSAP Managers' Circle
Communications Centers are one of the most important aspects of public safety, and it takes the right kind of person to succeed in this fast-paced, hectic, and sometimes critical environment. However, as you go up in rank, responsibilities increase, along with more stress and bigger decisions. It’s not clichĂ© to say “it’s lonely at the top”, because it is! Those individuals who manage PSAPs have higher stress rates but fewer confidants. Being caught in the middle between the staff and the boss often feels like a no win situation.Â
PSAP managers need a safe and confidential space where they can be authentic, speak their truth, and find genuine connection with other experts in their field. In addition, they need to have a space where they can complain, say all the things they wish they could say, but know they can’t, ask the questions they have been afraid to ask, and learn the tools and strategies they need to improve their resilience and mental health. Â
- Be real and obtain help
- Ask questions
- Obtain advice and guidance
- Mentor and support each other
- Vent frustrations
- Brainstorm solutions to problems
- Network & develop relationships critical for success
- Build fellowship and have fun
- Transform your work and home lives
- Reinvigorate your passion for those you serve
These circles have been created to fill the voids, improve your development, eliminate the loneliness, build strong leaders, brainstorm personnel issues, share cutting edge strategies, and get the support you need to stay resilient in your career.
Beyond the value listed above, group members will have access to cutting-edge trainings where you get to pick the topics (CEU’s), discussion of policy/procedure, discussions about how new legislation affects the profession, vendor recommendations, and access to a Police & Public Safety Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. Â
Until now, this type of space was non-existent in this field.

Chief Brice Current
Durango Police Department
“The networking opportunities alone have been worth the membership. Still, the value lies in the shared wisdom, the personal peer support, and the continual learning in every conversation”.Â

Chief Eric S. Sonstegard
Edgewater Police Department
“As a new police chief, I faced a myriad of issues transitioning from a large agency to a small agency as well as tackling issues for the first time as THE Chief. The Chief’s Circle allowed me to grow a network of contacts up and down the state that I could listen to and learn from. Candidly, it’s kind of cathartic to hear other Chiefs lament about problems they’re dealing with and know that you’re not the only one dealing with some of those things”.

Chief Dale E. Meek "Gene"
Wrangell Police Department
“I will remain a member of this wonderful program for as long as I carry the mantle of “Chief” and would encourage all who lead to join and share in a positive culture of mutual emotional support.”

So, what's the investment?
While programs of this nature would typically be upwards of $4,000-$8,000 annually, this is not what you’re going to invest...
I’ve priced the 2025 Circles at $2,100 ($175/month, paid annually for 12 months from the date of registration).
 No, that’s not a typo.
I want this to be a no-brainer and support you in a wholehearted yes to receiving all the benefits of being a member.
